Shuyuan was born and raised in Taiwan. She developed strong work ethic and has high expectation for continuous learning. After getting a degree in Accounting, she decided to move to the US. While learning English through the Lion King and Seinfeld, she obtained a degree in Occupational Therapy.
Shuyuan started her career as a Hand Therapist and was quickly promoted to the Director of Occupational Therapy at a county hospital in Northern Ohio. Shuyuan moved to Cincinnati to be closer to family, which led her to hospital therapy management and skilled nursing therapy program development. She spent 4 years developing and leading a comprehensive in-house therapy program for a 5 star CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community). Shuyuan was able to grow rehab census five-fold. Shuyuan decided to return to school for Master of Health Administration which ignited her entrepreneurial ambition and sparked the idea of American Rehab Partners.
Shuyuan enjoys her time at home with her husband, two children, and parents. They also enjoy spending time at their farm in Amish country.
Leah graduated from Xavier University with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2003 She began her career working at a small local hospital where she developed and refined her skills as an Occupational Therapist. Leah is experienced in acute care including inpatient, rehab, Geri Psych and LTAC (Long Term Acute Care). She also has extensive experience in performing driver screenings and standardized cognitive testing. Leah was motivated to gain Occupational Therapy experience in skilled nursing where she worked for 5 years.
Realizing her mission aligns well with American Rehab Partners, Leah joined Shuyuan and ARP. She strives to build a partnership and encourage not only physical but spiritual healing with a holistic approach to therapy. Leah also desires to make a positive difference in health care keeping patient-centered therapy a priority.
Leah has a passion for seeking new challenges and experiences that foster growth through education, travel and friendships. Leah remains family-centered by enjoying her two beautiful children and loving supportive husband.
Becky obtained a graduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Cincinnati and an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Wilmington College. She began her career as a Physical Therapist in the skilled nursing setting where she developed a passion for working with the Geriatric population. As the lead physical therapist at a 5 star Continuous Care Retirement Community, Becky gained extensive knowledge in Medicare and Medicaid regulations that apply to skilled nursing facilities. She was able to manage an effective and productive team achieving outstanding treatment outcomes and excellent patient satisfaction.
Looking to expand her knowledge and experience, Becky transitioned to the hospital setting, working in both acute care and acute inpatient rehab. She is experienced in treating a variety of challenging acute diagnoses as well as neurological conditions. To broaden her areas of experience, Becky also began providing Home Health Physical Therapy to patients around the greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas.
Becky shares the same core values as American Rehab Partners. Both ARP and Becky aim to provide the highest quality therapy services to the community and foster a nurturing and respectful working environment for fellow therapists. Becky also hopes to increase awareness and public knowledge of the aging population in the Cincinnati area.
Becky enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling to different countries and learning about people and diverse cultures.
